Good Friday Labyrinth.

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated in our Good Friday Labyrinth. We had a wonderful turn-out and I received great feedback from a lot of you. I know some of you asked me for the scriptures and interactives to follow-thru with them at home. Here you go....

(Unfortunately, we didn't get ANY pictures of the Labyrinth,
so I took some from one we did 3 years ago.... it gives you the general idea.)

STATION #1
Created By God
(Items needed: Mirror, Ink Pad)
Look in the mirror.
What do you see?
Do you realize you were made by the Creator of the universe?

Make a fingerprint.
Do you see how your print is unique?

Feel your pulse.
Can you feel the life running through you?
Can you comprehend the fact that you are made in the image of God Almighty?

Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

STATION #2
Sin Enters.
(Items needed: Bottle with Oil and Water, Magnets)
Shake up the bottle with the oil and the water in it.
No matter how hard you shake it, it will eventually always separate.
When we choose to sin, we are choosing to separate ourselves from God.
What sins have you committed that have separated you from God?

Isaiah 59:2

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear".

Romans 3:23
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God".

STATION #3
Jesus Paid the Price.
(Items needed: 9-in Nails, Hammer, Wooden Cross)
Hold the nails in your hands.
What was he thinking while on the cross?
Why would he suffer and die for someone like you?

Pick up the Hammer.
Think about the fact that the soldier that was using this hammer to nail Jesus to the cross, was one of the very people He was dying for.

Touch the Cross.
Thank Jesus for the price He paid.

Isaiah 53: 3-6
He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

STATION #4
Confession/Repentance
(Items needed: Shredder, Paper, Pens)
Take a piece of paper and pen.
Write down the things you need to confess and repent to God for.
When you are finished, place your paper in the shredder.

1 John 1:8-10
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His word has no place in our lives.

STATION #5
God Forgives.
(Items needed: Washable Marker, Baby Oil, Wet Wipes)
 Take the Marker.
Write the word sin on your hand.
Spray over it the clear solution.
Wipe it off with the wipe.
We aren’t worthy of forgiveness, but God gives it to us because of his unconditional love. There isn’t anything you’ve done that will ever be too big for God to wipe clean, if you are truly repentant and change from your ways to His ways.

Psalm 103:8-12
The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will He harbor his anger forever; He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

STATION #6
Change the World
(Items needed: Map, Marker, Wooden Cross Beads)

Take a wooden cross.
Make a decision today to pick up your cross and follow Christ.

Write your name on the world map.
It is now your turn to share with the world what Christ has done.

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
